Born from the Water

Creek & Current is rooted in a lifetime of exploring New England's most beautiful fisheries. The cold, clear creeks of the White Mountains, the sprawling lakes region, and the notoriously powerful currents of the Piscataqua River along New Hampshire's seacoast. These places didn't just shape who we are as anglers, they shaped everything we build.

Our Story

It started with flies. Spencer, my best friend and the original spark behind this whole venture, began a small fly tying business crafting custom fly orders for fellow anglers. That spirit of handcrafted, purposeful work stuck with me.

In late 2022, inspired by a local angler and mentor, I began building fly rods. By 2023, I was selling them, originally as one-off custom builds and rod repairs, then as something more. What began as Creek Native Fly Company evolved into Creek & Current, a name that better captures the full range of water, and inspiration, that defines fishing in New England.

The Small-Batch Line

Last winter, we expanded beyond custom builds to launch our small-batch rod line: a curated collection of ready-to-fish rods, each inspired by a specific New England destination that means something to us personally.

• The Kingdom Keeper — inspired by the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where I fell in love with fly fishing during my college years.
• The North Woods Wanderer — built for the remote rivers and ponds of northern New Hampshire, where I escape with my closest friends.
• The General — named for the General Sullivan Bridge over the Piscataqua, built for the big fish that hold in those powerful tidal currents below.

Together, these rods are designed to cover every species and size of fish you could encounter across New England, from blue line brook trout to slug stripers in the salt.

Education & Community

Fly fishing is a sport worth sharing. We carefully craft, develop, and deliver our lessons and educational programs, bringing new anglers to the water with confidence and care. Whether you're picking up a rod for the first time or refining your technique, we believe in teaching the whole picture - the cast, the flow, and the deep respect for the fish and the places they live.

Our Philosophy

We build for anglers who appreciate the fish we target and the wild places they call home. Every rod is made with high-quality, domestically sourced materials. Every lesson is taught with genuine passion for the sport. We're not trying to be everything to everyone, we're here for the angler who feels that pull toward the water and wants gear and guidance with a history that they can trust.
